Friday August 7, 2009 will kick off the first of five meetings with John.  If you are able to attend come expecting to be blessed (blissed) beyond your understanding.

John spoke at Church on the Rise once not long ago and the comments from those attending were ecstatic.  He had a unique way of presenting the gospel that makes you wonder why you may have ever doubted God’s love for you and all of mankind.  You can expect to meet up with Holy Spirit in ways you may have only dreamed of.

We have heard the prophesy from Billye Brim that the only thing that will save America is an Awakening to God.  Well these meeting will help you wake up to God in your personal life and hopefully cause you to shine with that awakening and spread it to others.

If you have been around these two you already know that they are as gifted as they come, but the bigger blessing is that they will pull the gifting out of us also.

So come expecting a miracle, both for and in yourself.

Now I’m not complaining, it’s just that it looks so different around here that you might not recognize the old place. If you’re looking for something not the status quo, I guess this would be the place.

Holy Ghost has stepped it up a notch in the house with the promise of an accelerated increase each week. Now that promise comes with a catch, we need to yield more to Him each time. In the middle of all that wild time with Holy Ghost, He said that it’s not the people’s desire that moves Him to use us but instead whether we will yield to Him. So our mantra will need to be “more of you and less of me”.

It’s times like these that define a body, will we release all the things that are familiar for that which is unknown? Well I vote yes. I would rather have Holy Ghost in the service for a minute than a known song or sermon or report. It’s time that we live in the unseen things of God.

As God moved in the service yesterday I got a birds-eye view of why Brother Seymour put a box on his head during the Azusa Street Revival. I believe the truth is that there was so much going on in me I didn’t want or need to see what He was doing in anyone else. Quite frankly I would have been better off with my head covered. Oh well, you never know where God will go next so you’ll just have to come on by and see.

First of all it looks just like us, all of us. We all wear the face of revival. I know that in Florida revival will look totally different than it does in the Methow Valley. In Florida you have a large community with large stadiums and a variety of resources to draw from. In the Methow we have limited resources and people to draw from, but that is no obstacle for the Lord. Remember that it is the same Holy Spirit that is moving in both parts of the good ol’ U.S.A.

For those of you who think God is done with the U.S.A think again. Holy Spirit is no respecter of persons He will do what He wants through whom He wants. The question that remains is do we want to be used, will we be the face of the next great American revival. Beloved don’t let the size of the community dictate what happens here. God desires to move in all parts of the world. Jesus told us to go into all the world, even the outermost regions. We should fit that description.

The only qualification that I see for God to use us is a willing heart, and that I know we have, so be prepared beloved to be used of God.

I am so excited to see the glory of God on the faces of those He has touched, the glow of recognition that the pain is gone. There were healings in the areas of necks, backs, hands, hips and wrists.

I was standing by while Mike was praying for someone else and I was thinking that I should really have him pray for my hip that has been bothering me. While I stood there the tangible anointing of healing was present and I decided to just accept it and receive my healing while he was still praying for the other person. Glory to God I have had no pain in my hip since. God is so good to all!

There was a moment in time during the preaching that we hit the wall that would seem to stop the anointing and the revival. It was the moment to make a decision, will we be stopped by the wiles of the enemy or will we press through and gain the victory. We chose to press through and we received the marvelous manifestation of the glory of God.

What a great night. Sorry you didn’t make it.

In Esther 4:14 Mordecai is pointing out to Esther that she is in the position to help her people but that if she chose not to God would find someone else to deliver the message. However, it could cost her a heavy price. Yet who knows whether you are here now at this time for this purpose. This word “time” in the Greek Septuagint means: the opportune point of time at which a thing should be done. Beloved we are in such a time now. God is moving on this earth touching lives now.

Now is the time for the whole church, not just the pastors, teachers, evangelists, prophets and apostles to understand their calling and make that “call and election sure” so that we will not be ineffectual nor unproductive in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. This word calling means: a specific conviction in your heart from God regarding the plan He wants fulfilled through your life that He expects you to commit to. It is time to get committed to the things of God in this earth and see the signs and wonders and miracles He has in store for us.

God ministered healing to a few folks through his servant Mike it was a glorious time.

Perfecting the Saints Conference

We had such a wonderful time with Jayce and Diane Tohline and Bruce and Renita Duggan during the meetings this week.

Jayce and Diane were able to be with us from Sunday morning through Friday night and share many new truths from the word of God. The most impactful will probably be the good rice bad rice experiment. Holy Spirit decide to change direction many times during the meetings and praise be to the living God we decided to follow. Tapes are available of all the services. If you are interested please call 509-996-2323. We thank Jayce and Diane for the deposit they left here at Church On The Rise.

Bruce and Renita showed up on Thursday night and stayed through Sunday morning. Again we thank them for the deposit they left. Unknown to Pastor Bruce, because he wasn’t here for the start of the meetings, he ended the meetings on the same word that started them. God is so good. He just seems to be confirming His word every where we look. All in all God opened doors that no man can close and we thank Him for His faithfulness to us.

“From the fruit of his mouth a man’s stomach is filled; with the harvest from his lips he is satisfied. The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit”.

Well beloved, how have you been eating lately? Of course we understand that this is food for thought not physical food but rather spiritual food. I know this seems too simple but the truth is, it is just that simple. It appears that God in His all knowing wisdom decided to give us the power of life and death.

Now He not only gave us the power but then He advises us how to use it. How easy is that? See Deuteronomy 30:19

The enormity of the responsibility that God has put not just on the Christian but on all of mankind is just mind boggling. The power of words is not just limited to believers alone. God has made no distinction between believers or non-believers. It truly becomes a matter of faith. We have been taught that words spoken in faith have power. We see in Proverbs 18 that all words have power. But because “Faith worketh by love”, (Galatians 5:6), Christians have the greater responsibility to produce change in the world. Beloved it literally is in our hands. What are you talking about pastor? I’m talking about the life changing, mountain moving, soul rescuing responsibility of words. Our words. According to Proverbs 18 with just words we should be changing our sphere of influence.

From Pastor Phil we were told “it’s simple, just not easy”. “It” being walking out the word of God. For a season we accepted that. Then through the prophetic gifting Leslie revised it with, “it’s simple and easy, just not automatic”. The progression of the revelation of the word of God is predictable. The idea that God will reveal His word is predictable not the manner in which He does it. God has and always will reveal His word to the beloved. The true test is whether we learn from the revelation and change our patterns of behavior or not.

Understand beloved we can do nothing in faith without revelation. It is the very rock that the church is built upon. (Matthew 16:17) But according to 1 Corinthians 2:9-10; even though the world, and parts of the church for that matter, believes that we cannot know what is on God’s mind, verse 10 clearly states that Holy Spirit has revealed it to us. If He has chosen to reveal it to us, the least we could do is speak it out. Up till now many believers have remained quiet but the truth is what have you got to lose? What will it cost you to speak God’s love and favor towards mankind?

Our hope is that today we receive a revelation from God that will significantly change the words we speak. We “must believe that He is, and that He is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him”. (see Hebrews 11:6)
